Be Brave Don’t Shave!

Be_Brave_Don't_Shave

Be brave and don’t shave! Until December 1st… then you can shave, and help beat cancer while you’re at it!

When Stephanie from the American Cancer Society contacted me about doing a poster for their “be brave don’t shave” party, I immediately accepted. As many of you know, one of my life goals is to use my time and skills to benefit others, and this project was perfect for helping a good cause. Stephanie described wanting to reach out to local, down-to-earth Madison residents in the Willy Street area which created a fun challenge for me. I chose a flat-toned, bearded vector man donning the urban, lumberjack hipster, plaid button-up to catch the eye of those who may want to help out the most. Who doesn’t love plaid button-ups, anyway?

If the creation of the poster can get one more person to face the razor for this good cause, I’ll know my efforts produced positive results in this world, which is awesome!

Caribbean Braids

Working with Marcie, owner of Caribbean Braids LLC, has always been a joy. From one small business owner to another, she’s really done a great job of starting a company that provides a great service and has fun doing it. I got to work with her on everything from company branding including logo design and color options to putting up signs for her booth! She’s a great lady and if you ever get a chance to come by Wisconsin Dells, make it a point to stop by her hair braiding booth at the Kalahari Resort. Visit her website (also created by Stacey Samo Design) by clicking here!
